Chaska Chasing in Peru

An Astronomical Journey of the Southern Skies of Peru

Astro tourism in Peru is an awe-inspiring tour of the night time skies of the southern hemisphere, where we can observe the magical Milky Way in all its splendour. Not only will we be blown away by the spectacular star show in the skies, we will also learn more about Inca astronomy, which was closely related to agricultural cycles during Inca times. The Incas in their unique type of astronomy had their own constellations in the cosmos, and we will be able to learn more about the cosmos as it related to Inca beliefs, together with our expert guides, who will show us the Milky Way and the different elements that are manifested in the black areas of the sky, that for the Incas and even today, are considered to be our sacred animals. The essence of these Astrophotography experiences will bring us closer to the stunning skies of the Andes and help us to understand the grandeur of Inca astronomy and the cosmos that they venerated beyond the earth. The Incas saw the cosmos as an integral part of their origin, and where the life force was born to give life to the rest of the beings that inhabit the universe. This is exactly why Astrophotography in Peru will lead you to understand the connection between us all as human beings, as well as the same energetic connection with the universe that is above us every night. Join us at Kallpa Travel on this Astrophotography Tour, in Cusco Peru to discover the best Astrophotography experiences in the Lares region, where light pollution is non-existent and where the Inca way of life is still alive in these remote Andean communities.
