Travel to the Sacred Valley of the Incas for a cultural, historical visit of the Inca archeological sites of Chinchero to observe a colorful textile weaving, visit the spectacular Moray circular terraces and then adventure biking around teh Sacred Valley of Cusco, Peru.

Then hike the Short Inca Trail to Machu Picchu, which is the best leg of the Inca Trail taking you through beautiful scenery and Inca Ruins. Finally, tour the magical powerful Machu Picchu.

Day 1: Cusco – Chinchero Weaving – Moray – Biking Sacred Valley Trails – Ollantaytambo (L)

We start off from your hotel in Cusco early in the morning with your professional guide aboard private transport in direction to the Sacred Valley of the Incas of Peru. Our first stop will be in the Andean village of Chinchero for a visit of the archaeological site and enjoy a colorful traditional textile demonstration by a native weaver. Then we move forward to the spectacular Moray circular agricultural terraces thought to have been used by the Incas as an agricultural laboratory. Moray is ironically formed by circular terraces, each with different depths and microclimates. Next, our biking adventure begins riding downhill for 2-3 hours along unexplored roads in the Sacred Valley of Peru. After our thrilling ride, we will arrive at Mama Nancy’s house, to enjoy a home cooked Peruvian meal. Following lunch, we will take you to a comfortable and cozy hotel in Ollantaytambo.

Day 2: Ollantaytambo – Train to Km 104 – Short Inca Trail to Machu Picchu – Aguas Calientes (B, BL)

Our guide will walk you from your hotel to the nearby Ollantaytambo train station to take the train to Km 104 to start the exhilarating hike to Machu Picchu. From Km 104 Chachabamba, we start the adventure walking uphill to Wiñayhuayna for approximately 4 hours (2680 mt.). Wiñayhuayna is an impressive Inca site built into a steep hillside overlooking the Urubamba River. We will find a rest stop nearby the ruins to enjoy our box lunch. Then we will continue our hike to Sun Gate (“Inti Punku”).  From Inti Punku you will have the first stunning view of the majestic Machu Picchu. Continue hiking down for 1 hour to take the bus down to Aguas Calientes.  Check in to your comfortable hotel in town to relax.

Day 3: Machu Picchu Tour – Cusco (B)

After an early breakfast, we will take the bus for the 30-minute ride to the main entrance of Machu Picchu. Discover the glorious Machu Picchu of Peru, touring the temples, stairways, corridors and taking in the spectacular scenery.  Listen to your professional guide as he tells you about the theories behind the grand Machu Picchu built by the Incas. After a wonderful experience, return to Aguas Calientes and have lunch before boarding your train to Ollantaytambo, where our driver will be waiting to take you to your hotel in Cusco.
