Lares Llama Trek With Homestay 4D/ 3N
Immersive Cultural Experience While Hiking the Lares Trail to Machu Picchu
Kallpa Travel has designed a unique way to experience the Lares Llama Trek toward the wonder of Machu Picchu. This is a sustainable journey that honors Peru’s Andean communities, moving away from conventional tourism models. On this path, we hike off the beaten track and replace tent camping with a genuine hospitality experience: two nights staying with local families, allowing for a deep and respectful cultural exchange of lifestyles.
This is a rare opportunity to immerse yourself in the world of Andean communities, the guardians of ancestral knowledge who still preserve their traditional customs in remote villages hidden high in the mountains. Throughout the Lares Llama Trek, you will witness the majesty of snow-capped peaks and glacial lakes while walking alongside llamas and alpacas grazing in the wild. By living with the villagers, you will witness their daily life and gain insight into their ancient wisdom in agriculture and weaving. Finally, the journey concludes with a train ride to Machu Picchu, arriving at the citadel with a much deeper understanding of the Andean spirit.
