​Rainbow Mountain Trek 2D/1N

Day 1: Cusco – Yawar Mayo – Acopampa (L, D)

We will collect you early in the morning from your hotel, and depart from Cusco en route to the province of Quispiqanchi in the southern andes of Peru. Along the way, we will stop at the district of Pitumarca for some breakfast. We will continue to drive to Yawar Mayo where our exciting trek begins. Hike for about 3 hours exploring the beautiful Peruvian Andes until reaching our campsite at Acopampa, where you will camp for the night with spectacular views of the landscape and llamas and alpacas grazing in nature.

Day 2: Acopampa – Vincunca Rainbow Mountain – Cusco (B, L)

After a hearty warm breakfast, we will start our hike to the Red Valley lookout near Vinicunca to observe wonderful landscape. We will continue our trek to Vincunca, Rainbow Mountain climbing up and catching our breath. Once there you can take some photos of this incredible natural wonder and explore the area and catch sight of the striking snow-covered Ausangate Mountain. Following a fantastic hike retrace your hike back to our waiting transport. Our guide will pick the perfect spot to have a delicious box lunch before departing to Cusco.
